You will probably want to add cushions to this if you’re going for a more comfortable kind of effect. When you do find upholstered versions it’s very important to really bring out the retro feeling or a more modern design style. For a modern design you should stick with a black leather cushion.

You could also venture into white sofa colors for your furniture placement. It’s important to have this sleek and masculine material that’s really going to hold up to the stainless steel. You’ll also really want to consider more of a retro design. This can be a lot of fun with bright orange or bold patterns. Vinyl even looks retro paired with a chrome finish.

Since this is so expensive you might want to go with a mixed media piece. In this case, you can just find a wood slat version. This is going to have metal accents such as stainless steel. Teak is a very popular wood for this kind of application. It really allows the focus to be on the metal elements which is really why you spent all of the money to begin with. Just going with stainless steel legs and having some sort of an upholstered top is really going to save you a ton of money.
